This classic Museum dial watch, in black and gleaming gold-tone steel, has a sleek, ultra-thin profile and distinctly modern styling. It features the legendary black Museum dial with gold-tone Dauphine hands and a single concave dot at the 12 o'clock position. This is Movado's signature dial, made famous by American designer Nathan George Horwitt in 1947. Horwitt intended his design to be evocative of a sun dial, with the dot representing the sun at high noon. The thin, flat dial is framed by a rounded gold-tone steel bezel and presents on a contoured leather strap that fastens with a buckle closure. Other notable features include a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and precise Swiss quartz movement. Water-resistant to 30 meters, this watch can withstand splashes and brief immersion in water; however, it is not sufficiently resistant for swimming.

I would put this watch up with classic designs like the Rolex submariner and Omega Speedmaster. Design has stood the test of time. Instantly recognizable as a Movado. I get comments on it all the time. Stereotypically rich/preppy looking.

I bought this watch as a Christmas gift to myself several years ago. I always liked the Movado Museum design and found a great deal here on Amazon.
I've never regretted the purchase. It gets compliments anywhere I go and it goes with pretty much everything from jeans to a tux. One caveat though: keep a casual backup watch in your collection (I like the Timex Ironman Chrono), as you'll need something when working in the yard, out skiing, etc.

I know, the current trend is to big multi-colored watches that can serve as a hand to hand combat weapon. And this is by all measuresm a fairly small, light watch. But, I like the way it looks and fits on my wrist. I have a drawer full of watches of all sizes, but when I am in a business or social situation this is a perfect fit

The face is so small and the band is so short. It's good for a boy or a woman , not a man. I gave it to my wife. What a rip off.
Addendum: I realized that [...] sent me the wrong watch. They put the woman's version of the watch in the men's watch box. They'd better resolve this for me next week.
